Jeff Peters

President

Jeff brings nearly 40 years of success to Curate Luxury Home Management. Most recently, Jeff spent 23 years owning a high-profile retail party supply chain with locations throughout the Carolinas. Prior to that, Jeff spent nine years as a commercial real estate developer leasing office space, land, and industrial applications. He began his career with a residential real estate builder/developer selling single family homes for five years. 

Upon successfully selling his party supply chain, Jeff considered retiring for about a nanosecond. The idea for Curate Luxury was a confluence of struggling to find a service he needed that didn’t exist and knowing the right people to create that service who had the knowledge, expertise, and network of experienced vendors to consistently deliver exceptional customer service to clients with high expectations and often complex needs.

Geri Peters

Vice President

Geri brings to Curate Luxury Home Management over 30 years of marketing, sales, and sales management experience.

Her knowledge and skills span a range of industries, from publications to high-end luxury goods, and she has worked at both the wholesale and retail level.

Geri also has extensive experience in client relations. Geri is known for both her straightforward approach, her marvelous sense of humor, and her impeccable taste.

Shawn Fiola

Chief Operating Officer

As one of three children, Shawn grew up in the construction business. His father successfully ran his own construction company for 45 years, where Shawn gained extensive knowledge of construction and project management that proved instrumental to his future success. His family experiences instilled in him a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial mindset. 

In 1995 Shawn began a career with PM Parties Inc. DBA Party City. Shawn rose through the ranks, overseeing the development and construction of 19 locations and directing day-to-day operations and 1200 employees. The franchise grew to one of the largest in a company that is largest retailer of party goods in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Inspired by his passion for spending quality time with family and friends, Shawn sees Curate Luxury Home Management as a way to spread the love in the Charlotte area.


 

JoAnne Schmitt

Executive Director

JoAnne began her career in New York, working for a national drug store chain. She relocated to Western North Carolina in her late twenties to pursue greater opportunities with PM Parties, a large retailer of gifts, novelty merchandise, and holiday decorations. 

She has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of the retail business, including single-store management and multi-unit big box store management. JoAnne has extensive experience in Human Resource Management including personnel supervision, hiring, training, and terminating staff. She has had the responsibility for the oversite of store builds and re-builds of numerous retail sites.

As someone with a rich personal life full of family, friends, and a love for animals, JoAnne is excited to be part of building a business based on giving Charlotte area residents more time to spend with their own friends and family.
